3. If the Atlanta Falcons aren’t fully committed to Ryan what reason does he have to stay?

The Atlanta Falcons are obviously not committed to Matt Ryan despite what they may have said this off-season. The fact they are meeting with Deshaun Watson implies they are serious about trading for the quarterback and have at least some trade talks with the Texans. Instead of developing a quarterback behind Ryan.

Even if the deal falls through and the Falcons want to stick with Matt Ryan why shouldn’t the quarterback demand a trade? He has zero receivers he can count on, no pass protection, a bad defense, and a front office that obviously is getting ready to move past the veteran.

Moving to a team that believes in him and gives him a far better shot at winning now has to be a consideration for Ryan. Why stay with a team that isn’t supporting you and obviously is willing to move on from you?

Matt Ryan demanding a trade is out of character for a franchise icon and leader, however, it is the right move and one he should make even if the trade for Watson fails for Atlanta.
