Arthur Smith has a history of revitalizing a quarterback’s career

When Ryan Tannehill became a member of the Tennessee Titans, most fans did not see it as anything more than just competition for, funny enough, Marcus Mariota, but he went on to show he can be a franchise quarterback, now Falcons fans are hoping Arthur Smith can do the same thing for the player that Tannehill beat out.

This is where all the intrigue is based around for Mariota, can he turn his career around much like how Ryan Tannehill did? The next year will be huge to see if that is a possibility.

Mariota will hope to get revenge for being benched for Tannehill, as this whole storyline has gone full circle.

There is room to be pessimistic, however, as Arthur Smith has only done this with one quarterback during his coaching career, so who knows if this is something he can routinely do.

It is safe to say that Fontenot is betting on Smith’s ability to coach quarterbacks, as both of their jobs are on the line with all the chaos that has happened in the past week.

Who knows if their plan is to have Mariota as the franchise quarterback or it is to draft one, but there is reason to be intrigued.
