1. Atlanta re-signing Cordarrelle Patterson

Cordarrelle Patterson embraced the Atlanta Falcons and their fanbase and they loved him for it in return. The fact Patterson had a breakout season that was unquestionably the best of his career didn’t hurt either. Patterson signed a two-year team-friendly deal that will give the Falcons offense a great weapon for Arthur Smith to lean on.

Patterson was the most impactful playmaker for the Falcons’ offense last season. If something good was happening on the offense Patterson was usually on the field either making a play or demanding a lot of attention so someone else could.  Patterson will likely be needed at receiver a bit more this season with the departure of Russell Gage and the suspension of Calvin Ridley. Regardless of where he takes the majority of snaps Patterson is a great offensive weapon and will remain a fan favorite in Atlanta. His energy and hustle show both in his play on the field and the way he carries himself around the fans and media.

Bringing back Patterson was the best move of the Atlanta off-season. One that will give Patterson a chance to win with Atlanta when they make moves to attempt to contend next off-season.
