3. Russell Gage

Gage started the season out slowly for Atlanta struggling to find any consistency in the first half of the season. The second half of the year was a completely different story one that saw Gage help carry the offense and give  Matt Ryan at least one target he could rely on. Despite the finish, to the season Gage is still a third receiver who is at his best when he has a good cast around him.

When Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley were both still on the active roster with Gage he thrived and showed what he is capable of in a supporting role. A season after being asked to be a starter Gage is heading back to that role, however, this time he will be in Tampa Bay with Tom Brady.

One can hardly blame Gage for joining a contending team that will elevate his status in the league even if it is a division rival. Where Tom Brady goes relevance and winning follow. Gage made the right decision jumping from a sinking ship to one capable of putting him in a great position both to succeed and contend.

Atlanta lacks any depth or options at the receiver position making the loss of Gage all the more impactful. The Falcons will miss having a player capable of making the plays Gage did down the stretch last season.
