1. Week Three at the Seattle Seahawks

Seattle will be one of the teams in contention for the top pick in next year’s draft. Their odd decision to trade for Drew Lock and stick with him as their projected starter is going to cost the team. Lock isn’t a starting quarterback in this league, no matter who the Broncos brought to Denver they always seemed to find a way to win the starting job over Drew Lock.

When Lock was inserted he struggled and often made a key mistake that cost the team. If he is still the starter in week three Atlanta should win this game. Marcus Mariota is a better quarterback than Lock and even as the Atlanta starter should be able to lead the Falcons to a win. The one advantage Seattle will clearly have is at the receiver position. However, Atlanta can counter this with an improved secondary and a defensive unit that should be able to put plenty of pressure on Lock.

Seattle trading Russell Wilson made sense for both sides considering their struggles since the infamous Super Bowl interception. However, getting Drew Lock in return and attempting to convince us he is a capable starter is a head-scratching decision that is going to cost Seattle.
