3. Tyler Allgeier

Tyler Allgeier has the chance to be the steal of this Atlanta Falcons draft class. His late success in college perhaps went overlooked with more consistent prospects being ranked ahead of him. However, watching his college tape and the early camp performance there is no question that Tyler has a chance to have a huge impact.

He is the type of player that obviously thrived when Atlanta switched to pads in practice. He runs with an old school style seeking out contact and wanting to run right through you. It would not be at all surprising to see him given the bulk of the carries tonight against the Lions.

In an effort to keep Cordarrelle Patterson healthy and to see what the rookie can put on tape in game action. While he is currently listed last in the running back depth chart this is more about being a rookie and Arthur Smith making every rookie earn their spot.

Every rookie is listed last or next to last at their starting position. Allgeier will have a chance to win a contributing role if not a starting one and that starts tonight against the Detriot Lions.
