1. Bryce Young

After what should be considered a preseason game with the Tide last week quarterback Bryce Young gets his first real test against the Texas Longhorns. A game that certainly favors Alabama heavily but is still a chance for Bryce to make an early season statement. There is a lot to love about Bryce Young, his pure arm strength, decision-making, and ability to make plays outside the pocket all standout and will make him a first-round pick next off-season.

If the worst-case scenario happens for Atlanta it means both Ridder and Mariota struggled and the team will be looking to bring in another option at quarterback. This leaves C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young as the obvious targets as Atlanta is unlikely to be able to land a franchise quarterback in free agency or via trade.

Young is an exciting prospect one who needs to show growth after the way that last season ended. While it was a great season for Young it is noteworthy that it ended with Young struggling to make plays under heavy pressure and making poor decisions against a loaded Georgia defense. Perhaps similar to the pressure Young might face at the next level when his team no longer has the obvious advantage. Certainly, something to watch closely as Young enters what is likely his final year at Alabama.
