1. Chris Olave

The Atlanta Falcons aren’t the only team with an exciting rookie receiver taking the field for the first time on Sunday. Rookie Chris Olave is an exciting addition for a team that badly needed help at the position with Michael Thomas consistently dealing with injuries over the past two seasons. There is a lot to like about Olave a player who very well could take over for Thomas and become Winston’s primary target this season.

As painful as it is to watch the Saints one can’t help but admire Olave’s speed and talent that is going to make him a playmaker at this level. If you’re Atlanta you have to be tempted to put A.J. Terrell on Olave and double Thomas or whomever they believe to be the biggest threat. Olave is that talented and deserves a healthy level of respect from Atlanta even in his debut.

He will benefit from being the third receiver alongside two veteran receivers that can certainly mentor and help Olave adjust to this level. It isn’t a question of if Olave is going to break out this season but can Atlanta stop it from happening in week one? It is going to be a difficult task but one that Terrell can accomplish if the Falcons will consider having their best corner shadow the rookie.
