3. Cordarrelle Patterson

Two weeks after rushing for over 120-yards Patterson once again set his own personal best surpassing 140-rushing yards and propelling the Falcons offense to the win. If Patterson doesn’t help the Atlanta Falcons offense eat as much clock as he did they are going to lose this game and fall to 0-3 on the season.

After this performance, there shouldn’t be any more questions about which role Patterson should be used in going forward. He was great in a utility role last season, however, he is almost halfway to last season’s complete rushing total in just three games.

Patterson needs to be used as a traditional starting running back and relied on heavily as long as he continues to produce at this level. Atlanta’s best avenue to winning games this season is using Mariota and Patterson to establish the Atlanta run game and keep the clock moving and their defense off the field as long as possible.
