Deebo Samuel – Wide Receiver

This one is quite obvious as Deebo Samuel is a dynamic superstar, but the good news for the Atlanta Falcons is that the last time they had to defend Samuel, they essentially shut him down.

This year, Deebo, unsurprisingly, is the 49ers leading receiver with 20 catches for 266 yards and two touchdowns, but he is also their second-leading rusher with 21 rushes for 125 yards and one touchdown.

He will line up everywhere and anywhere, which makes it that much more difficult to stop him.

Last season, when A.J. Terrell covered him, he was basically a non-factor but trying to keep Terrell on him is extremely difficult, because again, he will line up outside, in the slot, and in the backfield.

And while Terrell has been really good recently, he hasn’t been playing at the historical level that he did last season, so maybe Deebo might be able to have more success against him this time around.

Nonetheless, if you can limit Deebo, then you can limit the San Fran offense. While they still do have players like George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo is someone who will turn a usual short gain into something that ends in six.
