Lorenzo Carter – OLB

Lorenzo Carter came to the Atlanta Falcons with the hopes are seeing more playing time and let’s be honest here, that was the correct decision for him to fulfill that goal.

Carter hasn’t been a breakout star like I predicted, at least not yet, but he has been an extremely helpful piece for what has been an underwhelming pass-rushing group for the Falcons over the past however many years.

He has already played over half of the snaps that he played in his final year with the New York Giants. Add to the fact that he is a former Georgia Bulldog, and you would assume that he would be more than willing to sign a respectable long-term deal to stick around in Atlanta.

He can be an extremely reliable rotational piece for Dean Pees in the years to come. While it might be best if he isn’t used quite as much in the coming years, he can still be a great piece to come off of the bench and get to the quarterback.

We all know that any player who can get a hand on a quarterback is basically worth gold for the Atlanta Falcons, so hopefully, Carter is here to stay.
