Want to see a former rival of the Atlanta Falcons get completely buried on social media? If you do, then keep reading to see what happened.

Drew Brees was in the headlines after a video appeared to show him getting struck by lightning but it was all fake. What wasn’t fake though was him being struck by lightning on Twitter by the Falcons.

Atlanta Falcons totally shock, destroy, and bury Drew Brees on Twitter

Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees made headlines as he appeared to get struck by lightning, but it was clearly fake. People were also quick to point out that it looked like he was wearing an Atlanta Falcons jersey in the video.

After all of that, Brees wanted to make sure he stayed in the headlines so he proceeded to make fun of the Atlanta Falcons (in a weird and lame way).

Which is worse, the fact that people actually believed the video was real, or the fact that people actually thought he was wearing a Falcons jersey? The answer: ‘yes’.

When Brees finally decided to tell those who thought the video was legit, that it was not, he did it in the most 43-year-old-dad-way possible.

Wow Brees, you really got em. What a great joke that made everyone laugh and made all the Falcons fans cry in anguish. And you definitely did not make 99% of the population cringe in the worst way possible.

At least someone did something that is actually funny, as the Atlanta Falcons responded to Brees with this masterpiece:

This is downright funny and it is even more factual than it is funny. Like what else was all of this about? He was apparently working on filming a commercial or doing something with Points Bet but what in the heck was the purpose of this stunt?

It was the biggest publicity stunt, and nobody found it amusing in the slightest bit. Man, tricking everyone into thinking that Drew Brees was either seriously injured or killed is so amusing.

What part of faking someone being struck by lightning and severely harmed is good for business?

This whole thing makes zero sense and we should all be glad that the Atlanta Falcons Twitter just buried this whole thing and made the whole thing blow up in their faces. It was well deserved.
