1. Julio Jones deserves a better ending in Atlanta

In many ways, it is hard to blame Julio Jones for how his time with the Falcons ended. The veteran could see what Atlanta fans knew this team that was always reliant on the offense had missed their window and wasn’t heading back to the Super Bowl anytime soon. Jones himself made what should have been THE play in a Super Bowl that is only remembered by what Brady accomplished.

Fast forward two years and Jones made headlines when he was called live on air by Hall of Fame tight-end and current television personality Shannon Sharpe. While there had been rumblings beforehand about Jones wanting out he was handling it the right way and not making waves in Atlanta. Revealing he was not coming back to Atlanta live on air seemed to be an accident and doesn’t line up with the absolute unselfish pro Jones was the entire time he was in Atlanta.

The way the relationship ended was not fitting for the franchise legend and left ill feelings for some Atlanta fans.  Jones returning to Atlanta and getting a chance to have a farewell tour with the franchise he where he became elite would be fitting. Jones and Atlanta deserve another chance to send Jones out the right way.
