1. A.J. Green

A.J. Green is coming off of the worst season of his career with only 236 receiving yards a season after finishing with 848 and having a clear impact on the offense. Just because the Falcons now have cap space doesn’t mean they can’t still shop in the bargain aisle this offseason.

Green is a perfect example of a buy-low veteran that would provide leadership and production in a reserve role. Green is a former Georgia Bulldog and would be able to return to Georgia making an impact as a leader and as Atlanta’s third or fourth option. Even the version of Green that the Cardinals received this past season would have been Atlanta’s second or third-best receiver speaking both to the upgrades needed and the fact that Green can still make an impact.

With Olamide Zaccheaus headed into free agency the Falcons have Drake London and Frank Darby as their current top receivers. Adding Green won’t be nearly enough to fix the position, but it is a step in the right direction and helps Atlanta’s young quarterback and receiver.
