3. Isaiah Oliver

There is an argument to be made that pending free agents Lorenzo Carter or Rashaan Evans deserve this spot on the list. However, what Oliver has accomplished when healthy is plenty of reason to believe a secondary of Terrell, Hayward, and Oliver should be Atlanta’s starters next season.

Dee Alford showed steady improvement in limited action as well and should be in a reserve role behind the three primary starters. Oliver’s injury and inconsistency early on in his career should keep him well within Atlanta’s price range in free agency and could prove to be a bargain signing if the Falcons bring the corner back for multiple seasons.

Atlanta’s biggest issue on defense isn’t their secondary but how long they are asked to stay in coverage due to a pass rush that cannot get home. If the Falcons can improve the pass rush and fix the defensive line issues exactly how great the trio of Oliver, Hayward, and Terrell can be is more than enough to push Atlanta’s defense back to respectability.
