1. Jacoby Brissett

Objectively the 2022 Cleveland Browns were the better team when Jacoby Brissett was the starting quarterback. Jacoby was put into a difficult situation in Cleveland and played well giving the team a chance to win more than not and making a surprising number of plays during his time as a starter.

In Arthur Smith’s run-heavy offense, Brissett would give the Falcons a better chance to win than Mariota did last season and push Desmond Ridder as an experienced backup. Having spent time with the Patriots, Colts, and Browns and starting for all three Brissett has been around the league and will have a lot of wisdom to offer the young starter while still pushing him.

Brissett finished the season with 2,608 passing yards and 12 touchdowns. Signing Brissett would give the Falcons an elite short-yardage weapon as well with Brissett running the quarterback sneak as well as any player in the league. Brissett should be at the top of Atlanta’s off-season options when it comes to a backup behind Brissett.
