3. Michael Thomas

Three years ago Michael Thomas was in the discussion for the best receiver in the league simply based on the volume of targets Thomas had in the New Orleans offense. As we near the off-season and consider the Saints’ cap situation it becomes clear that Thomas is very likely to be cut this off-season.

After three years of injuries, Thomas has only played in ten games over the last three years and has struggled to stay healthy. New Orleans is going to make a business decision and part ways with the former star player.

What better revenge for Thomas than joining a division rival and helping Atlanta win the division? Signing Thomas would be a risk, however, it is one with a huge upside that Atlanta should be willing to pay a little extra for. Overpaying for one season of Thomas gives Atlanta the chance at finding an elite target to pair with London and at worst a veteran who can provide insight into New Orleans and help Drake London.  Thomas was last healthy in 2019 a season in which the receiver put up 1,725 yards and 9 touchdowns. At only twenty-nine years old there is a chance Thomas still has something left in the tank and helps Desmond Ridder establish himself in 2023.
