1. Atlanta focuses on building a complete team around Desmond Ridder

This is both the most likely and best decision for the Atlanta Falcons at the quarterback position. Ridder wasn’t overwhelming in the final four games of the season but showed a lot of talent and developed each game despite having very few pass catchers around him playing on a team that had already been eliminated.

It is hard to form an argument against building a complete roster around Ridder unless a star quarterback falls to Atlanta in the draft or chooses the Falcons as a landing spot. Even in the case of the latter Atlanta is arguably far better off keeping all of their assets and building around a young quarterback who showed tremendous poise and improvement each week.

Keeping Ridder as the starter and bringing in talent and depth at receiver, tight end, and a third running back is clearly what the Falcons should do.  Desmond is only in the second year of his rookie third-round contract giving Atlanta a rare opportunity to build a deep roster in a league that is often very top-heavy. The 49ers and Eagles are perfect examples of what can happen when you focus on building your team and develop a young quarterback.
