Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Football Roundup Week Four

The Atlanta Falcons offensive stars have set off fireworks in fantasy football leagues so far this season. Hey, why should week 4 be any different?

The Falcons lead the league in points per game at 34.3 and also lead the league with 455 yards per game. These stats bode well for fantasy owners that have Atlanta’s play makers on their squad.

This week I expect the Falcons offense to find success against a physical Minnesota Viking defense. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Roddy White and Devonta Freeman will earn big points for fantasy owners. Yes, I said Devonta Freeman.

More from Falcons Fantasy Football

Ryan has been setting fantasy leagues on fire. He is currently third in the NFL in passing yards with 965 yards trailing only Nick Foles (978) and Eli Manning (974). Technically Ryan is ahead of Eli because he has already played four games while the Falcons play their fourth game on Sunday. I fully expect Ryan to light up the scoreboard for another 300 yard passing day and at least 2 touchdown tosses. My prediction is 28/35 369 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Julio Jones leads the league in receiving yards (365) and is tied for 5th in receptions. If Julio is can stay healthy he will put up tremendous stats by the end of the season as he is definitely a top 5 receiver in the NFL. He runs great routes, has elite speed, and is an amazing athlete. With Matt Ryan having a great season so far, expect him to keep throwing passes Julio’s way and watch him rack up the fantasy points for you. My predictions for Julio are 7 receptions for 118 yards.

Roddy White has yet to have a huge game. He is coming off a hamstring and has had plenty of time to rest. He has said he will be ready to go tomorrow and his head coach Mike Smith reiterated those statements. I expect Roddy to have a breakout performance to the tune of 8 receptions for 101 yards with a touchdown.

I firmly believe Devonta Freeman is getting ready for his big chance on the field. He is still learning his way in the NFL and has 3 talented backs listed ahead of him on the depth chart. He has shown flashes of big play ability when given his chance to get on the field and against the Vikings I think he will make the most of it.

The Vikings will focus on stopping falcons supporting cast members Devin Hester and Harry Douglas while falling asleep on Freeman catching passes out of the backfield. Freeman rushes for 44 yards on 6 carries while catching 5 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. It is Devonta’s time to shine!
