Is Gurley heading to Atlanta?
The speculation is almost over, but let’s go out with one final Todd Gurley story. Could he be heading to Atlanta with the eighth overall pick? Josh Hill of FanSided takes a look:
"“This could all end up being a smokescreen from the teams interested in Gurley or teams who want to raise their draft value in the order, but Gurley is on the rise. That means that a player who we once wondered if he would even be picked in the second round could be.”"
Julio Jones likes new attitude
Aside from the draft, and Julio Jones is excited with the attitude that has come in with the new coaching staff. Mark Inabinett of AL.com writes:
"“Going into this week’s NFL Draft, new Atlanta coach Dan Quinn has gotten a jump on evaluating what he already has with the Falcons. In addition to the two-week voluntary conditioning program that all NFL teams have held this month, the Falcons are holding a bonus three-day veterans minicamp this week that’s available only to new coaches.”"
Falcons to move for Bruce Irvin?
A report suggests the Falcons could make a move for Bruce Irvin, which would reunite him with former coach Dan Quinn. D. Orlando Ledbetter of AJC.com writes:
"Irvin, a native of Atlanta who played at West Virgina, played for Falcons head coach Dan Quinn for the past two seasons. The Seahawks reportedly are not prepared to offer Irvin the fifth-year option on his rookie contract. After Quinn was named the Falcons coach, Irvin pointed out to the AJC that he had one more year on his deal and said, “I wanna be there.”"
