Oh what a difference a year makes.
Peyton Manning’s career is on its final legs, and his production declined heavily in 2014. His record-breaking 5,477-yard, 55 touchdown to just ten interceptions 2013 was followed up with a 4,727-yard 39 touchdowns, 15 picks 2014.

Still impressive numbers, granted, but the concern is more from what we saw at the backend of 2014.
In his first eight games, Manning threw for 24 touchdowns to just five picks. In his final eight, he threw for 15 touchdowns and ten interceptions, including a four-pick game against Cincinnati.
One of his flattest performances came at home to Indianapolis in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, slumping to just 211 passing yards and a single touchdown in a 24-13 loss.
Now, Manning was suffering with a quad injury late in the season, and this undoubtedly played a role in his decline.
But was it all on that, or were his performances dropping anyway?
That’s the million dollar question, and that’s why there is an element of risk in picking him up for 2015, especially early. His arm is no longer what it was, so any minor injury that hinders his footwork could be devastating.
If he returns fully healthy and to the form he showed earlier on in the season, then there will be little to be worried about.
It’s Peyton Manning, so he is high on this list. But pick him at your own risk.
