We all knew that one day Roddy White would fall off of a cliff production wise and fade away just like most receivers do, but nobody saw it coming in 2015.

White signed a 3-year, $30 million extension before the start of the 2014 season and did a fine job after catching 80 passes for 921 yards and seven touchdowns.

Everyone expected White to put up similar numbers in 2015 without Harry Douglas still around but that did not happen. Despite starting in all 16 games, White caught just 43 passes for 506 yards and caught one touchdown.

White’s 506 yards was his fewest since 2006 in which he caught 30 passes for 506 yards. The longest pass White caught all season long was 25 yards.

To say that White didn’t meet expectations in 2015 is an understatement. His inability to create separation against defenders resulted in a lack of passes thrown his way. And when he was given an opportunity, he dropped several passes.

White very well could be cut before the start of the 2016 season and if that is the case, White’s last pass attempt would be of a dropped pass against the New Orleans Saints in week 17 that would have put the team into field goal range. Instead, the Falcons punted on that drive and lost the game by three points.
