2. Matt Ryan, QB

This may have been one of the worst outings of the season for Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. After winning the 2016 NFL MVP a season ago, he’s looked nothing like himself in 2017. While a quick glance at his stat line doesn’t show it, Ryan played awful on Sunday night.

His passes were off, and he missed a couple of open receivers more than once. One deep throw to Mohamed Sanu on a fourth-and-long should have been a conversion as the wide out had a step on his coverage. Instead, Ryan missed by about a yard and Sanu was unable to catch up to the pass despite a strong effort on his part.

Later in the game wide receiver Julio Jones was free for a touchdown, but again, Ryan missed the mark and the ball sailed past their No. 1 wide out.

The one area Ryan really excelled in during this game was moving the sticks with his legs. The usually stationary Ryan took off three times when the coverage was too tight and ended up with 37 yards. His desire was evident there, and no one can question his heart or drive to win. We can however question his accuracy because that’s been an ongoing issue this season.
