For the Falcons second preseason game, the Kansas City Chiefs will be traveling to Atlanta.

On Friday, August 17th, the Kansas City Chiefs will be traveling to Atlanta to face-off against the Falcons in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Coming into this game, both teams lost in their preseason openers and will be looking to get their first win. Obviously only one of the two teams will be able to walk out victorious.

Players to watch for the Falcons are:

Calvin Ridley, Deadrin Senat, and Isaiah Oliver

Players to watch on the Chiefs are:

Patrick Mahomes, Sammy Watkins, and Kendall Fuller

Predictions

I see the Falcons tightening up their defense and not committing as many penalties as they did against the New York Jets. Against the Jets, the Falcons looked sloppy and unprepared for an NFL opponent. Atlanta will appreciate the six days the team has to get ready for the dangerous Kansas City Chiefs.

If the Chiefs allow second-year passer Patrick Mahomes to play for more than half of the game, I’d expect the Chiefs to get the win over the Falcons. While Mahomes does have limited snaps against another NFL team, he is still a second-year player and is versed in Andy Reid’s offensive system.

However, if the Falcons second and third team offenses can move the ball, I could see the Falcons getting the win.

More likely than not, the Kansas City Chiefs will pick up a win on the road.

Final Score: Kansas City Chiefs 24, Atlanta Falcons 17
