Washington Football Team

Washington currently sits in fifth place for the 2021 draft.

Even though they are sitting at 3-7, they are statistically just half a game out of first place in the worst division in football. While the NFC East clearly will not two teams in the playoffs this season, one will be eliminated from a high draft spot simply for making the playoffs.

Washington only has two divisional games remaining – at the Cowboys this week and at Philadelphia to end the season.

In between those two games, they have games against the Steelers, 49ers, Seahawks, and Panthers. While this may seem like a really tough schedule, remember, they don’t need to go 6-0, they just need to win more games than the Atlanta Falcons.

There is no reason that the Redskins should not go 3-3 in their final six games. They will split the Cowboys and Eagles, beat the 49ers as well as the Panthers.

Finishing with a record of 6-10 should be just good enough to help the Falcons sneak into the Top 5 of the 2021 NFL draft.
