1. Cordarrelle Patterson will not be slowed down regardless of where he lines up

The magic still hasn’t ended for Patterson and showed no signs of slowing down. The career returner has become a jack of all trades for this Atlanta offense. Whether it is catching the ball out of the backfield, lining up at receiver, or running straight through the line Patterson can line up literally anywhere for this Atlanta offense.

60-receiving yards and 54-rushing yards don’t completely tell the story of the impact Patterson has on this team. He refuses to go down at first contact and fights for every yard as if it is going to win the game.

That’s if the defense manages to get their hands on Patterson in the first place. His ability to stutter step and make defenders miss is the elite trait that has made him such a successful return man throughout his career.

Offensively it is absolutely crazy no other team has managed to utilize Patterson’s skill set. It seems unlikely he is having a breakout year at this point in his career, pointing to the fact he likely always had this ability and only needed a chance. A chance Atlanta has given him as he has established himself as Atlanta’s best playmaker five weeks into the season.
