Duron Harmon or Erik Harris

The Atlanta Falcons should really look into trading away one of their starting safeties, they have not been the type of players that the team was hoping for when they signed.

These two guys would not fetch a lot in return, possibly just a late-round pick at best, but when you consider how they have played compared to their backups, it seems like a logical move to send them away.

If either of these guys were to leave, the choice would preferably be Duron Harmon. He has not been the same player with Atlanta as he has been elsewhere. He has had decreased snaps as the team tries to give more to rookie Richie Grant. Grant is the future at the position and should continue to receive more snaps so that he can continue to gain experience.

Erik Harris on the other hand has played relatively well, assuming you ignore the three dropped interceptions against Washington.

With all that being said, the same argument is true with Harris, his backup, Jaylinn Hawkins, has played pretty well when given the chance and he has a higher upside down the road. Not to mention, he can actually catch too.

Neither of these guys will likely be traded because not many teams—if any—will value them, but in the case that they do, Atlanta should pull the trigger. Their backups have played to the same level as they have, no reason to not get something out of them.
