1. Russell Gage isn’t leaving the NFC South teaming up with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay

Russell Gage was one of the few Atlanta Falcons that was fun to watch down the stretch of the 2021 season. After a rough start to the year, Gage finished the year red hot and will now go back to the role he started in when the Falcons had Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley and Gage was the third option.

With Antonio Brown now gone in Tampa, Gage will come in behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the depth chart and have a chance to put up huge numbers. While it hurts to lose Gage you can hardly blame the receiver for leaving Atlanta considering he will be joining a team expected to be a Super Bowl contender.

With Brady as his quarterback Gage will be put in the spotlight as well and set himself up for future success and contracts. It is a great business move that will likely bring Gage success. As tough as it is for Atlanta to lose the one remaining talented receiver they had the move is understandable and opens up the possibility for Atlanta to make multiple big moves at the position.
