1. Brian Flores

The Miami Dolphins choosing to move on from Brian Flores was one of the more shocking developments that came from last season. Flores pushed the Dolphins back into relevance and compiled a 24-25 record in his time as the head coach.  It is important to remember within that record Flores was 5-11 in his first season with Miami as he helped the front office rebuild the roster.

After his first season, Flores went 19-14 in the same division as Josh Allen and Bill Belichick consistently beating the Patriots and continually finding ways to get the most out of his roster. His teams weren’t star-reliant but were well coached and put themselves in a position to win almost every week.

The fact Flores was able to do this while Tua and Ryan Fitzpatrick were his starting quarterbacks speaks volumes about Flores as a head coach. He deserves another shot in this league and if the Atlanta Falcons do find themselves searching for a head coach Brian Flores should be at the top of the list.

His history with the Patriots and three years with Miami all speak to a coach who deserved a spot this off-season and will almost assuredly find one next off-season.
