Outside linebackers (5):

  • Ade Ogundeji
  • Lorenzo Carter
  • Arnold Ebiketie
  • DeAngelo Malone
  • Quinton Bell

Inside linebackers (4):

  • Rashaan Evans
  • Deion Jones
  • Mykal Walker
  • Troy Anderson

The Falcons’ outside linebackers group has a lot of promise but hardly any experience.

Ade Ogundeji was alright as a rookie and they will be counting on him to take a step up, really they are looking for anyone to take a step up.

We should watch out for Lorenzo Carter because of two reasons. First, he will be getting more opportunities than he has ever had. Second, he finished last season on a hot streak. It was an underrated signing for Terry Fontenot.

Then you have the two rookie draft picks, Arnold Ebiketie and DeAngelo Malone are the future for the Falcons.

As for Quinton Bell, he is kept around for his potential as a pass rusher.

Now we have an interesting position for Atlanta — inside linebacker.

Rashaan Evans you figure will make the roster. He has experience with Dean Pees in the past and he has also mentioned how much he likes the former first-round pick.

Will Deion Jones be a Falcon come week one? It is definitely worth wondering, as he is owed a lot of money and has been rumored to be on the trade block. Another thing you have to factor in is whether or not he will even be healthy to start the season.

Mykal Walker and Troy Anderson will make the roster. Walker has shown some promise throughout his young career while, obviously, Anderson was a second-round pick, they will give him opportunities during the season.
