Let's send a message.

The Atlanta Falcons officially unveiled their new uniforms yesterday morning, and not everyone is in agreement on what they think of the rebranded uniforms. On one hand, they are a major step up from the previous uniforms, but the jerseys could be a lot more creative than what they turned out to be.

We here at Blogging Dirty polled fans on Twitter about their stance on the new jerseys, and their responses were telling. In 22 responses on the poll, nearly 60% of voters revealed they are a fan of Atlanta's new uniforms, while the other 40% of the fanbase is disappointed with the new threads.

The sample size is small, but it looks pretty indicative of how Falcons fans truly feel. Most fans are pretty happy about them, but there's no general consensus on this. So then I guess the only way to interpret the Dirty Birds' new jerseys is that they're merely adequate. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The public perception surrounding the Atlanta Falcons' new jerseys is incredibly divided

Having the black throwback jerseys not be the new main jerseys is a huge missed opportunity, since they're so much more bearable than the new red home jerseys. I get that Arthur Blank wanted a blast from the past with these jerseys, but the Falcons had a golden opportunity right under their noses.

Not having grey pants is another bummer, but not as important as not having red helmets to match the red jerseys. I may be in the minority here, but the red jerseys are actually pretty cool, so other than being a rip-off of the Houston Texans' alternate uniforms, they could have done so much worse.

However, if you remember the old AT&T commercials, just okay is not okay. With their red and black color scheme, the Falcons should have some of the best uniform potential in the NFL. It should almost be impossible for this team to screw up a rebrand, yet almost managed to do so twice in a row.

The away uniforms are a bit plain, but the numbers look better than they used to. I'm glad the block ATL jerseys are a thing of the past, but I would like the jerseys that are replacing them a lot more if they weren't a Wish.com version of the Arizona Cardinals' away jerseys. Why are we copying them?

That's neither here nor there though, as my thoughts are in line with the rest of the fanbase. These jerseys are good, not great. They're okay, and very clearly could have been worse, but I speak for everyone in thinking there's a lot of untapped potential in these jerseys.
