The disrespect towards the Atlanta Falcons has been crazy. While the Falcons haven't fared well in standalone games recently, they would still like to have some national exposure during the regular season.

Players will tell you that it doesn't matter, but it does. As they so often say, players play their best when the lights are the brightest; knowing that you are on national television during a time when there are no other games on, brings out a different kind of adrenaline. But the Falcons will not get to experience that during the regular season.

Hopefully, the NFL's decision to not give the Falcons any primetime games will only make them more motivated.

The only way you can guarantee that you will play in primetime is by making the postseason, which sounds like a solid plan to me.
