I don't need to tell any of you just how special of a talent Bijan Robinson is at the running back position. We see it week in and week out. He's the best RB in football, and the Atlanta Falcons will continue to run their offense through a guy who keeps opposing defensive coordinators up at night.
Through three weeks, only Kenneth Walker III has more rushing yards than Bijan, and he once again leads the NFL in scrimmage yards. So with a rivalry matchup with the New Orleans Saints on the horizon, he'll again be the centerpiece of an offense that has some juice with Michael Penix Jr. back.
There is also a personal element to the Week 4 primetime matchup at the Superdome. It will mark Kaden Elliss' first matchup against his old team after leaving Atlanta to return to New Orleans in free agency, and you just know Robinson is ready to run all over this defense and make him regret leaving.

Rather than keep Elliss, who signed a three-year, $33 million deal, the Falcons opted to draft both Harold Perkins Jr. and Kendal Daniels--two players who are better fits for the system Jeff Ulbrich wants to run. They want athleticism in the middle of the defense over a true jack-of-all-trades, so they should regret nothing.
As it stands currently, the Saints are 1-2 and near the bottom in the NFL in run defense. They're allowing the sixth-most rushing yards per game and were gashed by Jahmyr Gibbs, the other young elite RB in this league. So if other elite backs can run wild against Elliss and this defense, Bijan can go crazy too.
He's explosive in the run game. He can be a security blanket for Penix as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. And he's plenty familiar with Elliss after spending the last three seasons together as teammates, so all of those practices against him should be a good test of what to expect in Week 4.
Let's also remember Bijan Robinson is an absolute demon on primetime. We saw what he did to the Packers last week, but Monday Night Football is his true moneymaker. In two MNF games in 2025, he went over 200 scrimmage yards and had a rushing touchdown from 80+ yards out in both games.
- Week 6 vs. Bills: 19 carries, 170 rush yards, rush TD, six catches, 68 yards
- Week 16 vs. Rams: 22 carries, 195 rush yards, five catches, 34 yards, two total TD
The Saints don't exactly have the best pass-rush in the league either. Chase Young and Cam Jordan are solid, but with both Christen Miller and Bryan Bresee hurt, they don't have any true run stuffers designed to neutralize Bijan--but not that it would help anyway. He's averaging over five yards per touch, and a subpar pass-rush (unlike Atlanta's) isn't taking any pressure off Elliss as a tackler.
The Dirty Birds are going to ride their All-Pro running back until the wheels fall off, and a big performance from Bijan Robinson (and a Falcons victory) on Monday night would be the perfect statement not only to take over first place in the NFC South, but show Kaden Elliss what he's missing.
